Application

Manufactured from a naturally occurring mineral (CaSO4·2H2O / Calcium Sulphate Dihydrate), Biocel’s Ground Gypsum Superfine White is most frequently used in food production and brewing to:

Enhance flavour (e.g. to enhance the flavour of hops and regulate pH during the brewing process, as well as functioning as a coagulant and ingredient stabiliser in food processing).
Increase shelf-life of some beers and food products.
Improve food texture, uniformity and visual appearance. (e.g. as a sequestrant, firming agent, thickener etc. )

Biocel’s Ground Gypsum Superfine White is a white powder produced from the processing of high purity gypsum mineral CaSO4·2H2O Calcium Sulphate Dihydrate.

Biocel’s Ground Gypsum Superfine White will not deteriorate chemically under normal storage conditions. However, compaction lumps can occur if the mineral is stored for more than three months from the date of manufacture. (displayed on product packaging)

Purity

Purity as Calcium Sulphate: 70% minimum.
Impurities: Clay and calcium carbonate.
