LACTRIN
Milk Processing Plant Caustic Cleaner
Lactrin is a caustic soda based liquid detergent for use in cleaning in place systems. It can penetrate soil rapidly, which makes it particularly suitable in CIP systems within the food and milk processing industries. Biocel’s Lactrin combines a blend of caustic, sequestrants, crystal deformations agents, descalers and deposit inhibitors. The resultant Lactrin solution has a sequestering capacity of 10g/L of concentrate.
LACTRIN
Product Benefits
The presence of acrylic polymer crystal deformation coordination compounds ensures calcium carbonate entering the system from hard rinse water will not scale the clean plant during the rinsing process (traces of sodium hydroxide persist and tend to precipitate carbonate blooms).
- Contains sequestering and crystal deformation agents.
- Scale and deposit inhibition properties at high levels of dilution in hard rinse water.
- May be dosed by conductivity probe monitoring and suitable metering pumps.
- 0.25% - 0.3% w/v NaOH lines & tanks @ 80°C.
- 0.5% - 0.8% w/v NaOH on pasteurisers/separators @ 80°C.
Lactrin N
Lactrin N is a caustic soda-based liquid detergent suitable as a milk processing plant caustic cleaner. Lactrin N liquid detergent has been specially formulated for use in cleaning-in-place (CIP) in hard water areas.
